Consent

Your use of www.godminster.com and any personal information you disclose via the website signifies your consent, in accordance with this Privacy Policy, for us to collect and use your personal information as outlined.

How We Use Your Data

The www.godminster.com website is owned and operated by Godminster Vintage.  In common with all online stores, Godminster collects some personal information from you when you buy on our website. We use this information to process your order and to keep you informed with the progress of it. Also, to support our relationship with you and personalise the service we offer you.

Godminster will keep a record of previous orders, and we will keep any email correspondence you have with us, so we can monitor the user experience and take action to improve it where appropriate, which will include activities such as analysis of customers’ shopping habits and website journey, and preferences regarding product or style.  We may use it for research or technical administration of the godminster.com website.

Unless there is something we need to tell you about an order, we will not contact you unless you have expressly given us permission to contact you with our marketing messages, which will cover news, competitions and special offers.  Of course, if you change your mind, you can unsubscribe from receiving messages from us at any time by clicking here.

The personal information we collect amounts to:-
  • Your name and address, and a delivery address (if this is different) to allow us to prepare and deliver your order as you have requested
  • Your email address, which allows us to send you an order confirmation. Of course, if you change your mind, you can unsubscribe from receiving messages from us at any time by clicking here
  • Your mobile telephone number, in case we need to contact you about your order, and so our courier can update you on the status of your delivery
  • Your credit card details although we don’t ever receive this information ourselves. These details go directly onto the servers of PayPal or Sagepay (for Mastercard and Visa etc) when you enter them during the checkout process. No credit card or other payment information is ever stored on any of our servers and we are audited on this every year by an external agency to make sure we continue to maintain our high standards of security
Personal Data Continued

Our website uses secure server software which will protect your information at all times. Once captured your personal information (excluding payment card information) is held on our own internal servers. Here, it is regarded as strictly confidential. Customer account information is restricted to those who need to access it for the performance of their job. Any access is subject to login and password controls.

We have to pass some of your personal data to other companies for the purposes of taking payment of your order (e.g. PayPal or credit card processing companies) and delivering it to you (e.g. couriers) but they only receive the information necessary to complete their function. For example, your postal address and email & mobile would be passed to DPD, our courier, who will deliver your order on our behalf.  If you ask to be on our mailing list, Mailchimp uses your email address for sending you our newsletter. It will continue to do so unless you ask us not to email you any more.

We only use reputable companies to work with. When we do share information as outlined above, it is in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and other applicable laws, including the new European General Data Protection Regulations 2018.

The internet is a global network and data may travel internationally and by visiting or shopping at godminster.com you agree and authorise us to process data in this way.  Our website may contain links to other websites, though once you leave our site, please be aware that we do not have control over external sites and so we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information you provide to them.

We will not pass your information on to any other third parties unless we have your express permission to do so.
